SAFE HARBOR CAPITAL GROUP GIVES THE GIFT OF LIFE THROUGH ROTARY

The gift of life is the most important donation a child can receive.
Tim Kelly, Senior VicePresident Mortgage Counselor and Affinity Director of SHCG, is a
Board Member the Rotary club of Stony Brook within District 7260
and is a Board Member of The Gift of Life Program. The Rotary
International and The Gift of Life Program have teamed up with
the Pediatric Cardiac Care Center of Stony Brook University
Hospital to offer underprivileged children in Central & South
America highly technological open heart surgeries that are
not available or affordable in their own countries. On February
10, 2006 at the Gift of Life Gala, a fund raiser hosted by the
Gift of Life Incorporated Program of Rotary International
District 7260 will be held at The Inn at East Wind in Wading
River, NY. Michele Raab-Francis President/CEO of Safe Harbor
Capital Group has pledged to help save a child's life. In
connection with the event, Michele Francis will be donating not
only $4,000 to a child in need of open heart surgery, but also
opening up her home to the child's family.
The money raised from the Gift of Life Gala will sponsor the
cost of the surgeries which is $4,000 per child. It is the
responsibility of the local Rotary International clubs in Central
& South America to pay for the transportation of the child and a
family member to Stony Brook, New York. Once on Long Island,
Suffolk County Rotary Members and the community open up their
homes to house these children and their families out of the
kindness of their hearts. Last year the organizations raised
enough for 52 children to have the heart surgeries; this year
they want to help 100.
