SAFE HARBOR CAPITAL GROUP HELPS RAISE MONEY TO SAVE MORE CHILDREN;YOU CAN HELP TOO!
You still have time to help save one more life. Safe Harbor Capital Group is helping to raise cash donations to assist underprivileged children to have open heart surgery. Rotary International and The Gift of Life Program have teamed up with the Pediatric Cardiac Care Center of Stony Brook University Hospital to offer underprivileged children in the Caribbean, Central and South America highly technological open heart surgeries that are not available in their countries.
On February 10, 2006 at the Gift of Life Gala, a fund raiser hosted by the Gift of Life Program of Rotary International District 7260 will be held at The Inn at East Wind in Wading River, NY.
In connection with the event, Michele Raab-Francis President/CEO of Safe Harbor Capital Group will sponsor a child in need of open heart surgery. Currently, Wilmer Rivas and his mother Nelva Rivas from Honduras are staying with Michele and her family awaiting life saving open heart surgery. Without this surgery he can’t play soccer with the other children, he can’t walk to school, he can’t do any normal activities that every child should have the right to do.
The money raised from the Gift of Life Gala will offset the cost of the surgery at $4,000 per child. Last year the Gift of Life raised enough for 52 children to have the heart surgeries; this year they want to help 100. Partial sponsorships of $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 are gladly accepted. Tickets to the gala are $100. Any donation large or small is greatly appreciated.
The Gift of Life Gala will be honoring surgeons Dr. Thomas Biancaniello, Dr. Peter Morelli, Dr. Jan Quaegebeur and Marybeth Heyden (Nurse Practitioner) from Stony Brook Hospital. For more information on Rotary International, The Gift of Life Program, and information on how to be a host family or to attend the Gift of Life Gala please contact Tim Kelly at 1-877-SHCG-LLC x 17 (1-877-742-4552 x 17) or email him at tk@safehabcap.com.
