Polar Plunge Photos

On Saturday March 18, 2006 at Bar Beach in Port Washington, NY caring people from all over Long Island jumped, crawled and splashed into the icy water of the Long Island Sound, including Dan Longaro from Safe Harbor Capital Group.
The Polar Plunge is an event that is held every year that allows individuals, organizations and businesses the ability to help support the Special Olympics by raising money in a “cool” way.

According to the Special Olympics, “The mission of the Special Olympics New York, Long Island Region is to provide year-round sports training and competition for close to 4,000 Long Island athletes who compete in 23 Olympic-style sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. There is never a cost to the athletes or their families.”
